Capitalization Sector Definitions

SMALL CAPITALIZATION  Managers who invest in companies with relatively small capitalization. Usually, the focus is on companies with less than $500 million in market capitalization, however, portfolios may also utilize companies with capitalizations of up to $1 billion for diversification opportunities.

MEDIUM CAPITALIZATION (Mid-Cap)- Managers who invest in companies with stock market values between $500 million and $3 billion.

LARGE CAPITALIZATION Managers who invest in companies with stock market values generally greater than $3 billion. Please note that diversification does not ensure a profit and does not protect against losses in declining markets.
